About
There’s nothing to do in Houston? All there is to do in Houston is eat and shop.
Whether local, visitor, or new transplant, a lack of things to do in Houston is the number one complaint by people living or visiting the city. In actuality there are a tone of things to in the city, it’s just a matter of whether or not you want to do them.
I’ve compiled a diverse database things to do in the city through the available information provided on the internet. I’ve tried to limit the list to activities and attraction within 15 mile radius of downtown Houston, but concentrated on places in and near the 610 Loop to ease navigation and reduce time for visitors and those without a car. Please do your due diligence to verify information by contacting the business before visiting and read reviews.
Be sure to check the location’s websites for seasonal or pop-up events they may host throughout the year.
If you know of an interesting activity please email home@attawellsummer.com. Please submit your information in the following format:

Voyage Houston Interview
Do current events, local or global, affect your work and what you are focused on?
My work usually draws on the past to create a new present and future. However, the transformation I’ve personally experienced from hearing and seeing others’ story has allowed me to take the risk and tell my story, in a somewhat nontraditional form. The events in the last 10 to 15 years created new outlets, storytellers, and point of views via multiple art mediums. All of which are now more easily accessible than ever to use and view. It made me realize the importance of visibility and that there is nothing hindering me from telling my story or any story in a way I, as the artist and creator, want to. I have the power to create the personal or fictional narrative I want and if I don’t do it someone else will do it for me. To allow someone else to create and tell my story takes away my power. The power to create was one of the reasons why I became and still love being an artist. Looking back, my passion to become a creative was born out of my feelings of helplessness and lack of control over my life as a child.
You can read the full interview here.
